Golin hires Ryan Durr as executive creative director for Golin Dallas and Frank Garcia as ECD for Golin Miami. Durr, who is the first-ever head of creative in Golin’s Dallas market, most recently served as creative director at Austin-based advertising firm PREACHER. He has also held creative posts at Team One and The Martin Agency. In his new post, he will oversee work for clients including Adobe, Cisco and Purina, as well as spearheading new business efforts. Garcia returns to Golin after serving as group creative director at Mojo Supermarket. He has worked with such brands as McDonald’s, Meta, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Popeyes and the Truth Initiative. In his new role, Garcia will supervise creative work for key southeast region clients including Celebrity Cruises, the CDC and Hard Rock. He will also collaborate with Golin’s New York creative department on both client work and new business. "Ryan and Frank are truly exceptional creative leaders who bring invaluable experience, talent and passion to our agency," said Golin North American chief creative officer Ron D'Innocenzo.

Dataminr, an AI platform that provides real-time insights on events, risks and threats on a global scale, names Jeana Tahnk VP of communications. She joins Dataminr from Okta, where she held the same role and was responsible for brand reputation. She previously led global communications at Auth0, which was acquired by Okta in 2021. Before that, she worked at Matter Communications. In her new position, she will lead Dataminr’s communications, content and social media.

Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, a bicoastal midsize law firm, appoints Jill Jacobs as chief marketing & business development officer. Jacobs has previously served as CMO at such firms as Marcum LLP, Citrin Cooperman and Friedman, and has been named by Crain’s New York as a Notable Leader in Marketing and PR. She will oversee Tarter Krinsky & Drogin’s marketing, business development, communications, and brand strategy programs. “Jill’s dynamic leadership and track record of achievement in business development and marketing roles with professional services firms are impressive,” said Tarter Krinsky & Drogin managing partner Alan M. Tarter.

Fox Agency, a B2B tech marketing and PR agency, names Chau Wang as US head of media; Raven Carpenter as US public relations director; and Romario Martin as US head of paid search. Wang was most recently US head of media operations with The Marketing Practice and has also contracted as a Google Marketing Platform partner manager. Carpenter comes to the agency from BLASTmedia, where she was most recently public relations director. Martin previously served as US paid search director at The Marketing Practice, and before that he held the same position at Kingpin Communications. “With the addition of our three talented new hires and expanded services, we’re continuing the momentum in providing current and prospective clients in the US market with the consultation they need to thrive in a competitive B2B tech landscape,” said Fox Agency CEO Ben Fox.
