Open AI promotes Hannah Wong to chief communications officer. Wong has been with the company since 2021, most recently serving as VP, communications and before that as head of public relations. She was previously at Apple as senior PR manager for Apple Pay, Apple Card and iCloud and spent five years at Edelman, working with the Xbox LIVE, Charles Schwab and Twitter accounts. According to a report in Axios, Wong will continue to report to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, overseeing media relations, internal communications, strategic messaging, events, brand design, social media, community and talent partnerships.

Ashley Gordon

Mower hires Ashley Gordon as SVP, connections planning. Gordon most recently worked as a freelance consultant, partnering with both startups and large corporations. She has also held leadership positions at gyro, Mindshare and Dagger. Overseeing Mower’s connections planning department for integrated media, she will lead the agency’s media and performance marketing teams. She’ll also work to elevate its paid media capabilities for clients across areas including energy & sustainability, B2B, healthcare, financial services, travel & tourism, building & construction, and transportation & logistics. “Her career exemplifies our shared value to ‘always raise the bar,’ and her expertise aligns perfectly with Mower's commitment to meeting our clients’ evolving needs,” said Mower presient and CEO Stephanie Crockett.

Meagen Eisenberg

Samsara, developer of the Connected Operations Cloud, which lets businesses harness Internet of Things data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations, names Meagen Eisenberg as CMO, effective Aug. 28. Eisenberg was most recently CMO at cloud security company Lacework, and she has also held the CMO spot at MongoDB and TripActions. "Meagen’s deep industry expertise and understanding of our customers and market dynamics will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of innovation,” said Samsara CEO and co-founder Sanjit Biswas. “I’m confident that her vision will help us forge even stronger connections with our customers and expand our presence in the market.”
