Pandemic Preparedness Kit FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OLYMPIA, Wa October 27, 2009 - The Survival Center, America's Premier Preparedness
Center, announces the release of its new Pandemic Preparedness Kit
Pandemic Preparedness Kit for 25 people up to five days in one office With battle lines apparently being drawn over whether the Swine Flu vaccines will be safe – and whether vaccination will be mandatory "or else" – The Survival Center has taken the middle ground by putting together a special "pandemic preparedness kit."
"We're well aware of arguments for and against," says General Manager Richard Mankamyer, "but either way, it is vital that people – and businesses – be well prepared before the worst happens."
Mankamyer says the "worst" could be a full-blown mutation of the H1N1 virus, leading to thousands of deaths – or – in the best case, a flu season no worse than any other.
"Taking health precautions is essential," he says, "and that includes having enough emergency supplies on hand at home to meet your needs in case quarantine becomes compulsory or travel restrictions are suddenly imposed. We have specialized for years in providing food kits for just such emergencies."
But, says Mankamyer, many people still need to go to work "so it's imperative that businesses keep their staff safe from infection - and the best way to do that is to ensure that the workplace - and your staff - are well protected."
To that end, The Survival Center has used its experience as a consultant to businesses big and small to put together the "Pandemic Preparedness Kit."
The 25-person kit is for use by up to 25 people for five days in one office. It contains effective infection control products suggested by the CDC and the World Health Organization as critical in helping to prevent the transmission of viruses for a full 5-day work week.
The kit comes packed for easy storage and each kit includes: Crosstex® Procedure Masks, Nitrile Exam Gloves, Purell® Hand Sanitizer, Sani-Cloth® Plus Surface Disinfectant and NexTemp® Single-Use Thermometers.
"Use it to sanitize your work space – use the masks to filter out any bugs in the air – and the thermometers are useful if you suspect yourself or a workmate has somehow become infected.
"See this special package and other things you can do to protect yourself at our website" (
