Peoria's Parks Need PR Help

The Peoria Park District is looking for a marketing, media and branding consultant who can support and enhance its current marketing initiatives as well as work with its staff to develop and implement a comprehensive annual marketing strategy.

The district, one of the oldest and largest in Illinois, received the National Recreation and Park Association’s Gold Medal Award in 2010. Its park and open space holdings total just under 9,000 acres in the City of Peoria, West Peoria, Peoria Heights and outlying townships.

The scope of work on the project includes the development of overarching branding communication strategies, graphic design, bi-monthly e-mail campaigns, bi-weekly meetings with the district’s executive marketing team, PR consulting & strategy and website strategy and maintenance.

The contract shall be for a period of three years, after which the district reserves the right to extend it for two additional one-year terms.

Applicants should submit an original and three copies of the proposal (which should not exceed 80 pages including all exhibits and attachments) by 10:30 am on Sept. 10 to:
