Expectant parents can save time and money with printable
birth announcements that can be downloaded and printed for free at the new Web site PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net.
There are more than 20 designs to choose from, including announcements for boys and girls as well as
twins birth announcements,
adoption announcements and announcements with room to add a photo. There are even "We're Expecting" cards via which parents-to-be can announce a pregnancy. The cards are designed to be folded, with a full-color illustration on the front and details of the birth or impending birth inside.
"I wanted to be sure to include birth announcements for many family situations," explained Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "For example, there are adoption announcement versions intended for either new babies or older children."
There are both free and premium, paid versions of each birth announcement design. The free version is in PDF (Adobe Acrobat's free Reader) format, and cannot be altered, while the .DOC version can be fully customized in Microsoft Word and costs $7. Once a design is downloaded, it can be saved and then printed as many times as the user would like, at no extra charge.
"It's convenient having the birth announcement stored on your computer, especially for those situations when you realize you left someone off the list or didn't order or print enough cards," Savetz said. "With the premium, customizable version you can type in details such as the baby's name, weight and length rather than handwriting it in."
Parents don't have a "lock" on sending out birth announcements. Grandparents, godparents and other proud people in the baby's life can also make use of the handy announcements at PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net.
