FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Reputed consultant says 'responsible speed' is key to business success
Toronto, Ontario – With the economic recovery beginning, businesses will need to focus on speed. There are many areas where speed can apply: expansion and growth, human resources, operations, product development and commercialization, conflict resolution, and customer service. Accelerating business objectives in any of these areas will have a significant impact on the success of an organization.
Andrew Miller, president of ACM Consulting Inc. believes the key for any organization is to know when to increase speed and when to slow down, a term Miller calls 'responsible speed.' Miller believes that there are three things companies need to consider when practicing responsible speed:
• Preparation: understanding the conditions that lie ahead
• Calmness: remaining in control as you move forward
• Governance: regulating yourself on when to speed up and when to slow down
"Companies need to look at the value that can be created by achieving the same or better outcomes, only faster," says Miller. "If you can get a product to market faster, or resolve customer issues faster without sacrificing quality, you gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace."
Andrew Miller is based out of Toronto and helps clients accelerate positive business outcomes. He has worked with clients of all sizes across North America and Europe and will be publishing a booklet in early 2010 entitled The Speed Principles: 50 ways to accelerate positive business outcomes.
