FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Roger Stearns to lead New Boston, NH enterprise risk management and business continuity consulting engagements for AMX International, Incorporated
Roger Stearns has over 25 years of experience in the emergency management and business continuity arena. He is a recognized leader and change agent who believes that "Having a business continuity plan isn't enough. You need a Business Continuity Management Program". Stearns specializes in business continuity and provides consulting, leadership, and program development. His career has taken him around the globe and across the United States. His experience includes public and private sectors, building continuity programs for small and large organizations. Stearns holds certifications from the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), the Disaster Recovery Institute International (CBCP) and The American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (CHS-III). He is an active member of the National Fire Protection Association and the New England Disaster Information Exchange.
Stearns will lead the 2010 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program and its business continuity consulting engagements. The 2010 ERM Program is an innovative and holistic approach for the implementation of an SEC compliant enterprise risk management program. It reflects the hard-earned lessons learned from risk management failures at financial services, insurance, professional services, manufacturing, commercial real estate, retail, and technology corporations. It also reflects thought leadership and best practices from the most successful organizations.
The 2010 ERM approach minimizes cost and time to implement by leveraging the corporation's existing investment in employees, methodologies, frameworks, industry standards, policies, procedures, models and infrastructure. Training is incorporated in implementation to enhance the understanding of risks and leads to institutionalization of holistic risk management. The ERM Program facilitates the protection of Directors by providing an understanding of major risk, helping them become "actively engaged" in the independent validation of senior executive claims that is required by business judgment rules. Senior executives, managers and staff benefit from uniform, timely and accurate risk management reports and dashboards, with drill-down information. The enterprise-wide understanding and management of major risks significantly improves resiliency, agility, financial performance, growth, competitive advantage and augmentation of stakeholder value.
