The IRTA Global Board of Directors and Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announced that Ron Whitney has been elected to receive the 2025 Barter Industry Hall of Fame Award. Ron has served with great distinction as IRTA& UC’s leader since 2007. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at IRTA’s Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort convention which is being held from May6th through 8th, 2025.
Former IRTA President, Hall of Famer and longtime IRTA Global Board member Annette Riggs observes, “Ron Whitney has been in the Trade/Barter Industry since 1993 – when he launched his own trade exchange in the Wilmington, DE/Philadelphia market. Ron has contributed significantly to the expansion and success of IRTA’s mission, furthering the recognition and growth of the trade exchange industry on a global scale.
As a leader, mentor, and advocate for the reciprocal trade exchange industry, he has not only driven growth but has also championed the values of collaboration, integrity, and mutual support. His ability to navigate complex challenges, embrace new opportunities, and inspire others to do the same has made him a respected figure within the industry and to all of us that have worked closely with him. It’s been an honor for me to have collaborated with Ron successfully on many global industry issues and growth strategies for the last 18 years. As a result, I am very excited to be a part of Ron’s much deserved induction into the IRTA Hall of Fame at this year’s convention!”
