Dallas, TX, August 8, 2016 — In honor of former StopAfib.org forum member Judy Currier, the organization is now offering a scholarship that enables recipients who could not otherwise afford to attend the opportunity to be at the Get In Rhythm. Stay In Rhythm.™ Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference, September 16-18 in Dallas.
It is the goal of StopAfib.org to empower as many people as possible with the most up-to-date information about Afib treatment, so that they can get their lives back.
"We realize that the investment to attend the Get In Rhythm. Stay In Rhythm.™ Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference, especially when you consider travel expenses, may keep some people from attending, even though they want and need to," says Mellanie True Hills, CEO and founder of StopAfib.org. "That's why we created this brand new scholarship opportunity, the Judy Currier Scholarship."
Judy Currier was the second member of the StopAfib.org discussion forum (alongside founder Mellanie True Hills).
Judy passed away last year just before the StopAfib.org Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference. She provided a bequest to the organization from which the Judy Currier Scholarship has been created to help those who really need to attend the 2016 atrial fibrillation patient conference but aren't in a position, financially, to do so.
If you know you can benefit from attending the Conference and would like to apply for a scholarship, learn more at http://www.stopafib.org/newsitem.cfm/NEWSID/592/
The organization will begin allocating funds to applicants as soon as applications are received, and will do so until the funds are expended.
