Talking honestly with our individual family members, dependable friends, co-workers, our health care providers and a favored clergy / religeous mentor about our condition; should make us humble to listen to advice and receive the proper assistance we may need to develop plans for a self management agenda for our diabetic condition. Any self developed plan must be effective and helpful. A successful plan should be capable of helping each individual planner plus many more, with similar health conditions and issues. An effective self management program must include healthy meal planning, a daily activity and functions to partake with family, taking our medications as prescribed and that each one of us must have courage to gradually change our lifestyles forever. A key advice from this author to all of us is to work at it hard; in order to add few more years to a life, to remain active and alive, to live longer and enjoy a normal life with family and friends.
