Attract the Right Job or Clientele:
Social Interactions Improve with Teamwork for Growth
We learn the most from poor experiences as they guide us toward better behaviors and strategies for moving forward. But sadly, not everyone learns the lesson. With Valentine’s Day upon us and possible parties ahead, our blog offers ideas on ‘Social interactions improve with teamwork for growth.’

The Party Atmosphere
Most of us have undoubtedly experienced social gatherings resembling egotistical corporate leadership. The sad part is that everyone looks forward to leaving the office behind and enjoying the party ahead. But when a person is either ignored or their ideas dismissed, the thought of staying home the next time quickly comes to mind.
As the host, it’s wise to remember the following thought: ‘Don’t Exclude Individuals.’ In the social scene, this is another variation of DEI. In this instance, gossip may occur after the hard work put into the party, and ill will on all counts may follow.
Purpose First
Before the event begins, should one be the host, it’s wise to consider the purpose of the event, aka:
- To keep oneself busy on a celebratory day.
- Connect with friends and socially with peers.
- Enjoy a stimulating conversation along with good food.
Duty
While the purpose of hosting a party is to have a good time with peers and friends, it’s the duty of the host that everyone feels cared for. It’s vital to pay attention to needs and on the goodwill side to ask whether each person has what they like. Good hosting sparks excellent conversation and on occasion a surprise opportunity.
Gather Around
Motivate interactions by suggesting every person share a quick one or two-minute story about a quirky surprise experience. When everyone participates to share their personal experiences, horrific ones included, generally compassion, laughter, and goodwill follow. It’s an excellent way to further build camaraderie.
Return to Work
Consider how the party event transpired and the elements catching your attention and those of other attendees. Next, think about how the finer points may apply to the workplace for yourself and potentially to inspire greater teamwork.
Test the Waters
Suggest to teammates that a company outing be held with the purpose of sharing eye-opening experiences for improving work and mindset, too. Hold a vote, with a budget in mind, concerning an enticing event out of the office whereby everyone will participate. Check for enthusiasm and if not quite at 100% or up to expectations, request suggestions from everyone. Implement as much of the input as possible.
Plan the Event
Ask for input from each person about their expectations for the out of office event, and how you may improve the details for everyone to contribute to later enjoy. Like personal gatherings, attempt to thank each person for coming to the event. Create enthusiasm for the activity in mind to get everyone up and included.
Observe how it all plays out to ask questions about all of it the next working day. As you listen to input, be attentive to whether enthusiasm is included in the tone of voice or disappointment is shared. Accordingly, you can improve the next event for enthusiastic participation by all.
Conclusion: Social Interactions Improve with Teamwork for Growth
As friends and staff observe you working on their behalf to improve mindset, comfortability, and the desire to provide one’s best, the friendships and work blossom into new growth. The time spent proves well worthwhile as people become comfortable with one another and business blossoms.
Enjoy A Very Happy Valentine’s Day!
