Atrial fibrillation is a heart rhythm disorder that affects more than 3.5 million Americans and causes more than 66,000 deaths a year.
The public is invited to attend this free event, which also will include a brief presentation on new treatment options for atrial fibrillation by renowned electrophysiologist Dr. Nassir Marrouche, the executive director of the University of Utah's Comprehensive Arryhthymia Research & Management (CARMA). It is sponsored by University of Utah Health Care and CARMA, which provides worldwide pioneering leadership in advancing clinical treatments and research for cardiac arrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation.
