Patient-Relevant Bleeding Events Among Patients Taking Anticoagulant Medication was recently presented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis’ (ISTH) annual meeting in Montreal.
Anthos Therapeutics, in collaboration with StopAfib.org and the National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA), presented new data from a survey of afib and VTE patients about the impact of so-called “minor bleeding” on people taking anticoagulants. We introduced the concept of patient-relevant bleeding (PRB), defined as bleeding not requiring medical intervention.
We at StopAfib.org want to thank the afib patient community for participating in this survey and share the findings with you. This survey will enlighten clinicians about what we already know, including that taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) can dramatically disrupt our lives.
