Attend opening day of this special exhibit at Pilgrim Hall. Learn about the original residents of Plymouth. The Wampanoag people of Patuxet lived here for 10,000 years before the founding of Plymouth Colony in 1620.
World: Patuxet to Plymouth captures the vitality and persistence of the Wampanoag World: Patuxet to Plymouth is a vital exhibit, which includes displays of Native artifacts, and illustrates crafts, trading networks, family and social experiences, and maritime and agricultural lifeways. The exhibit will run through December 2018.
A highlight is the two-month showing (late February and March) of "Our Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History," a traveling exhibition based on Wampanoag perspectives, presented by Plymouth 400 Inc. and produced by the Indian Spiritual and Cultural Training Council and SmokeSygnals Marketing and Communications.
