We love things to do in Plymouth MA. On Saturday April 7th, the Speedwell Tavern in Plymouth, MA will hold its third annual "Out with the Cold, in with the Brew" Beer and Pepper Festival. Mayflower Brewing Company is a sponsor of the event. Local Plymouth MA band The Scoobz will take the stage at 9:00 pm., as led by musician Jeff Hilliard.
April 8th features the second annual Speedwell Tavern "Epic Fail Hot Wing Challenge".
Beginning at 3:00 p.m., customers will get a chance to beat Matt Pratt's record last year of eating ten hot wings in less than three minutes! This challenge supports the Plymouth Local 1768 Fire Department, working together with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to raise awareness. If anyone can set a new record for eating the most hot wings in a small amount of time, then they will also win a hot wing trophy! In order to participate in the challenge, customers must sign a waiver.
The collaboration between the Speedwell Tavern and the Local 1768 Fire Department goes beyond eating hot wings. They are running a 50-50 raffle all weekend in order to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The "Out with the Cold, in with the Brew" Beer and Pepper Festival begins at 12:00 pm Saturday and the "Epic Fail Hot Wing Challenge" begins at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
