Let's face it: life is made of more than big plans and bragging rights. Many days are open, have no commitments, and give you choices. How you use these days is critical to the experiences you will enjoy.

New Rules of Self Employment author and speaker Anthony Signorelli posted a new blog post on making an experience plan. "What will you do on a weekend when you are NOT doing one of the big targets? How will you spend your time? This challenge is especially hard for seasoned small business people. "Seasoned" often means that you have habituated your business. You may work a lot on the weekend as well as during the week. It means you are comfortable in that pattern, partly because you never thought about a different pattern. "Seasoned" often means that over the years, you simply forgot to choose."

Signorelli is a consultant in sales force effectiveness, and author of two books and many articles. Information is available at his website: www.newrulesofselfemployment.com.
