00:00:00
Here’s today’s spoonful of courage. I had an interesting experience this last week. I’m a youtuber and I was
00:00:07
looking at my youtube comments. I innocently clicked on one of the
00:00:12
comments. There was an inappropriate message and
00:00:17
what happened was interesting. I deleted the message as quickly as I could but then the next day I noticed in my
00:00:23
feed I began seeing all of these inappropriate feeds–and inappropriate videos.
00:00:30
It was interesting how that one little click started me down a path of temptation and just to
00:00:39
remind us all how easy that is today in our nanosecond world. We
00:00:45
can instantly click on something. It’s interesting how advertising and
00:00:49
marketing companies and everybody are looking at what we’re clicking on youtube and facebook and all these
00:00:55
social media things are feeding these things in depending upon what we desire.
00:01:01
And so, I want to remind you that we need to stop every once in a while and look at our
00:01:06
settings. I learned something new. I could go to my settings and could wipe the slate clean. I could go and

00:01:12
delete all of my past searches. Often in our lives we need
00:01:17
to do that. The bible says in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins
00:01:22
he is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
00:01:28
And because of the completed work of Christ, you know God calls us righteous–
00:01:33
based not upon what we do and not upon our performance–but based upon His
00:01:38
finished work. The second thing I want
00:01:42
to focus on today is to encourage us to change our settings.
00:01:47
We can change our settings to help you know keep us focused you know it says in Romans 8
00:01:54
verses 5 through 8. The mind set on the flesh is that of death but the mind set on the
00:02:01
Spirit is one which gives life and peace. So what is your mindset? Just as we can go and
00:02:08
set the threshold on our air conditioner or on our heater
00:02:12
to set it at a certain temperature, we can also set our minds on the Spirit. We can set
00:02:17
our accounts on the computer, youtube, facebook. We can change our mindset and so I want to ask you a question
00:02:25
today. What are you focusing on? What is your mind set on?
00:02:30
If you show me your focus, I’ll show you your future. I just want to encourage you
00:02:35
today–number one–we can wipe the slate clean when we have these kind of things that
00:02:40
happen to us and also we have the choice to make to set our minds
00:02:46
upon the things of God and to set our mind on the Spirit and to be governed by the Spirit as it says there in Romans
00:02:54
I want to remind you today that you have been given the mind of Christ. I’m Dr. Page the best
00:03:00
guy to see on the worst day of your life. Please subscribe or share this with friends
00:03:06
and thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.
