Joel Silverman, Celebrity Trainer and Author, to Speak at 11th Annual IACP Conference at the Hilton Mission Valley in San Diego, CA April 7-9, 2011
Come on out to San Diego and learn the "Hollywood" way to teach the retrieve! Canine Professionals and Dog Lovers Welcome!
The host of GOOD DOG U on Animal Planet and upcoming syndicated television series Cat & Dog Training with Joel Silverman (Spring 2011) will be thrilling our conference attendees again this year with two seminars.
"A Fetching Way to Train" will focus on the Hollywood way to teach the retrieve. Always entertaining, Joel will share some of the techniques he uses in training "star dogs"; developed and honed through 30 years of working with animals. Joel's very first job picking up trash at SeaWorld soon led to training and performing with killer whales there, dolphins at Knott's Berry Farm and Magic Mountain and birds, cats and dogs at Universal Studios. Using the varying methods he learned along the way, Joel turned his talents to training "stars" of the animal variety for live shows, television, commercials and Hollywood movies.
"A Question of Balance". In addition to being the author of two successful books ("What Color is Your Dog?" and "Take 2, Training Solutions for Rescued Dogs") and a career of performance animal training, Joel has helped many individual clients with problem dogs. As the dog, the environment, and the people change, tools and training that were acceptable a minute ago, are no longer acceptable. Joel's seminar will give you insight on looking to find the right solution for the dog, the times, and the client – even if it means trying something new.
The 11th Annual IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) Conference will feature a celebrated list of speakers in addition to Joel Silverman, including Cesar Millan, Jeff King, Wendy Volhard, and many seminars and workshops from internationally known and respected canine professionals. This year's conference will be held at the Hilton Mission Valley in San Diego, California.
