Christmas printables can save busy families money and a trip to the store during the holiday season. FreePrintable.net Web sites offer hundreds of free and low-cost Christmas printables, from coloring pages to Christmas recipe cards to letters from Santa and much more.

"We even have printable Christmas certificates for gift-giving and also for affirming whether the recipient has been 'naughty' or 'nice,'" said Kevin Savetz, the sites' creator. "I hope folks turn to sites such as FreePrintableColoringPages.net, FreePrintableCertificates.net and the other FreePrintable.net sites when they need quality holiday paper items quickly."

Many of the printables, such as coloring pages and gift tags, are free to download and print. Others, such as the certificates, have both free PDF versions and premium .DOC customizable versions. (The .DOC certificates, which can be edited in Microsoft Word to type in – rather than handwrite – names and other details, are $5 per design.)

There is also a nice selection of Christmas recipe cards at FreePrintableRecipeCards.net. The PDF versions are free, while premium, editable .DOC versions are $7. There are even printable canning labels with Santa and poinsettias at PrintableLabels.net.

At SantaPrintables.com, there are more than 30 letters from Santa to choose from, in colorful designs for all kinds of situations. "There are fun and heartwarming letters for boys and girls, baby's first Christmas, Christmas birthdays and many more. There's even a joke letter to send to adults," Savetz said. The letters are free as PDFs or $5 for a customizable .DOC version.

Some of the more unusual Christmas printables include free fax cover sheets for home or business use, with festive and Christmas cartoon fax designs.

Another site, FreeLetterheadTemplates.net, has free letterhead templates with a Christmas theme, while there are nearly three dozen printable gift tags to choose from at FreePrintableGiftTags.net.

Other Christmas printables include dot-to-dot pages at DotToDots.net, Christmas banners PrintableBanners.net and party invitations at PrintInvitations.net.
