Just in time for football playoffs, a new Web site includes dozens of free printable tournament brackets as well as betting grids for office pools, the Super Bowl and NCAA basketball March Madness.

The new site is the latest member of the FreePrintable.net family of sites, which offers printable paper, free printable business cards and more.

"I'm pleased to be offering these brackets in time for the NFL playoffs," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "But the tournament brackets are good year-round, for anything from kids' league games to darts to video game competitions."

The brackets are all free to download and print in PDF or .DOC format. With the .DOC version (compatible with Microsoft Word, Google Docs and similar programs), users can customize the brackets and grids to include team or player names as well as update the brackets as a tournament progresses.

Instructions for using the brackets and grids are included on the site as well. The betting grids will be familiar to anyone who's paid a dollar or two at the office to pick a square in the hopes that the teams' scores will equal the numbers assigned. The grids come in 25-, 50- and 100-square versions to accommodate a range of players.

The brackets are available as single elimination brackets or double elimination brackets, and can accommodate as many as 32 teams.

A bracket is available specifically for the 2009 NFL playoffs, including game dates and locations culminating in Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1.

Savetz expects the brackets and grids will prove popular during the current football and basketball seasons as well as in league play. "Be sure to follow the rules governing wagering in your office or state," he mentioned.
