Printable
time cards make it easy for small business owners and employees to keep track of the hours they've worked. A new Web site, PrintableTimeCards.com, makes it even simpler by offering free time sheets that can be instantly downloaded and printed.
The site launched in January 2010 with a dozen formatted time card templates to choose from. There are
weekly time cards,
monthly time cards and flexible time cards that can be used for any time span or pay period. Other versions of the time cards are designed to track just one project, or a "single job."
Printable time cards are also ideal for independent contractors, freelancers and others who bill clients by the hour.
"Whether workers are formally filling out a time card and submitting it to their boss each week or month, or just jotting down hours to report in another form later, PrintableTimeCards.com makes the process easy and convenient," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator.
The time cards have a grid in which to list hours of the day (and night) and also have room to "clock" in and out for lunch or other breaks. There are spaces for employee name and number, dates, pay period details, signatures, notes and more.
The time cards print out with one to four copies per page. They can be easily cut apart, and for added durability, users can choose to print them on cardstock rather than regular office paper.
The time cards are all free to download and print in PDF form. Another option is a $7 .DOC version that can be edited in Microsoft Word, allowing business owners to customize the time cards with company name, special instructions, and so on.
There are more than 60 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free
