It's easy to create and print
word search puzzles with the new website, FreeWordSearch.net. The site has several fun options for making word searches of varying sizes and difficulty levels.
Developing an interactive puzzle site has been a longtime goal of Kevin Savetz, creator of the FreePrintable.net family of websites offering free and low-cost
printable certificates, business cards, paper and more.
"I'm so pleased with how FreeWordSearch.net came out," Savetz said. "Already, people have found the site and are using it to make and share their own, custom word search puzzles."
At FreeWordSearch.net, the
word search maker easily lets people name their puzzle, type in a word list, choose a size and difficulty level, and click to generate their puzzle. The choices range from Easy (words down and across) and Medium (adds backward words) to Hard (diagonals), and Difficult (mixes in misspelled words).
Word searches can be made just for fun, or used in educational settings as a memory tool to practice vocabulary and virtually any school subject.
So far, people have made and shared more than 100 puzzles on topics ranging from Harry Potter to quilting to the Southwest American desert.
"The site is free in every way," Savetz said. "I'm hoping it continues to grow in popularity so visitors will have even more puzzles to choose from, in addition to the ability to make their own."
There are nearly 80 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free
printables sites created by
Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
