The FreePrintable.net websites have announced a new site that provides fun and games for the whole family. PrintableBoardGames.net features 20 board games for children and adults alike. All are free to print and all come with helpful directions attached.
"This site is great because it has broad appeal," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "Kids will love the Domino sets, while adults can take on games like backgammon."
There are many classic strategy games available, such as Chess, Go, Reversi and Mancala. These are common, two-person games that have been attractively arranged on paper with bright styles. Many include colorful pieces that can be cut out and used for gameplay for each team.
Some of the board games can be printed out and played immediately, but others are meant to be played with easy-to-find accessories. Many of the family games are dice games such as Pachisi, Backgammon, and Snake and Ladders. The latter is especially great for kids, who will enjoy the illustrations of the colorful, cartoon snakes that decorate the board.
Other games at PrintableBoardGames.net are paper and pencil games that require a writing instrument. These are ideal for car trips or quick lunch breaks. They include Safecracker (a word guessing game), and Master Code Breaker, which is a similar game played with color patterns. There are also pretty cards for Quick on the Draw ideas, a guessing game similar to Pictionary.
Each template is free to download and print as a PDF file from a home computer. The games collection can be purchased at once for only $11. All are quick and easy to use at home, school, or in the car.
"The collection is great for parents and teachers to keep on hand," Savetz said. "There are always breaks in the day for fun and learning."
There are more than 90 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
