In September 2023, we began tracking new hires for the “Chief AI Officer” (CAIO) title at major organizations globally:
- April, 2024: Seven new CAIOs at Department of the Air Force, Director of National Intelligence, Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Morgan Stanley, More.
- March, 2024: Four new CAIOs at Blue People, LVMH Group, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
- February, 2024: Five new CAIOs at Mirae Asset; U.S. Department of Justice; U.S. Department of Labor; U.S. Department of the Treasury; and Zefr.
- January, 2024: Two new CAIOs at U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State.
- December, 2023: Nine new CAIOs at The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA); The Department of Energy (DOE); U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC); Sacramento State; UC San Diego Health; more.
- November, 2023: Nine new CAIOs at at the General Services Administration (GSA); National Science Foundation (NSF); U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); U.S. Dept of Education (DOE); more.
