and one of the groups that I support consists of authors–new authors, long-established authors, and aspiring authors. Could that be you … or someone you know? A friend … family member … a student … who? The Holidays are circling … this coming weekend, several dozen authors will be guests in my home for my annual author party–something that I always look forward to.
During this week, I have my Author ASK hat on for two things. They are big … one takes a few minutes; the other some thinking about
The first is, will you donate to the Hall? The Hall is all volunteer and a 501c3. It does need community financial support.
Since 2022, ten Aspiring Author scholarships have been awarded. In September, the Hall donated five $15,000 scholarships including cash and a year’s mentorship for each recipient. This is the second time it has been done and the Hall’s Board is excited about the future for the recipients.
The full Induction to the Authors Hall of Fame is held every two years. To date, 20 authors have been honored. In 2025, 12 new inductees will be added on Saturday, September 6 at an evening gala event … who will they be?
The second to think about, is will you join me in supporting the Authors Hall of Fame next Induction? To date, 50 authors connected to Colorado in some way have been inducted. Nominations are open through March for the class of 2025. Nominate a favorite author. Guidelines are on the Hall’s website.
“The Authors Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and preserving the history about the accomplishments of past and present authors who have created and published books. Both historical and contemporary authors who have shared their words of wisdom, encouragement and entertainment are celebrated. The Authors Hall of Fame ensures that their insight and visionary achievements will not be forgotten.”
Founded in 2019 with the first Induction, it has been honored by Colorado’s Governors and Mayors during the Induction years with their declarations of Authors Hall of Fame Day. A wonderful evening filled with good food and fun. Add the September 6 date to your calendar to attend. Information is here:
It’s 2024 year end and Colorado Gives Day … I like to think of it as Colorado Gives Week. I have an ask … it’s not huge … but it’s a commitment from you. Will you do one or both to support the Authors Hall of Fame now?
Use the green direct links above … or peruse the Hall’s website here to donate: https://coloradoauthorshalloffame.org/
I so appreciate all of you.
