We human beings are very good at asking questions, being creative, and having experiences.

The AI robots can’t touch you on this one!

I talked about that yesterday with our Stark Raving Entrepreneurs Bronze and Silver groups. There was a lot of buzz about DeepSeek R1 in our weekly meeting.

It is mind-blowing what is possible now for writers, YouTubers, and other marketers.

Here are some key points you need to know now:

#1 DeepSeek: China’s ChatGPT Rival

DeepSeek is that new-fangled Chinese LLM (Large Language Model) competing with ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others.

It’s pretty dad-gummed amazing (technical term)!

However, what you enter is stored on computers in China that like to know everything about you… and keep it — forever.

(Check out their user acceptance agreement before signing up for this one.)

Yep! Check what’s in the contract. If you sign up for their China-hosted service, they keep literally everything you type.

#2 The Privacy Workaround

You can bypass this by using Perplexity ($20 Paid version), which routes answers through US/Canadian/European servers with real, honest-to-goodness privacy laws.

But the real magic is DeepSeek’s speed and “reasoning” for problem-solving. This a just “WOW!”

#3 Watch AI “Think” Out Loud

It flashes messages as it “thinks” through prompts, delivering jaw-dropping answers.

Humans who master tweaking these tools will lap their competitors.

This ties back to Kevin Kelly’s quote: Robots have limits. AI is impressive.

But humans? We’re the idea factories asking questions no bot can.

To that I say, “Na Na Na Na Na Na” (said with elementary school playground sing-song!)

#4 Sci-Fi Paranoia vs. Reality

Many fear AI will take over the world (too many Terminator marathons!).

The winning mindset? “Not either/or, but both/and.”

Take the best of DeepSeek or ChatGPT’s new O3 Mini/High models and combine it with the best of human curiosity and a lot of “Yea, but what about…?” questions.

#5 Tractors Didn’t Kill Farmers…

Yes, AI will replace jobs — just like tractors replaced plow mules.

But do farmers miss backbreaking labor? Do mules? (I bet they’re thrilled! ?)
