Position: Hydro-Test Operator
Experience: 2+ years
Location: North Dakota
JOB DESCRIPTION
Safely operate a hydro-test truck to provide a variety of functions that include hydrostatic pressure testing. The technician may work in shop and onshore environments in accordance with Canary and OEM procedures.
DUTIES
Prepare accurate field service tickets / job reports and other administrative forms as required
Responsible for assigned vehicle maintenance and inspection
Maintain knowledge of all applicable local, state, & federal DOT rules and regulations
Conduct job safety analysis
May assist in developing job action planning with customer on location
Install and/or remove equipment in accordance with applicable technical procedures
Install, operate, observe and read pressure and temperature of gauges and charts
Responsible for the familiarity with and comprehension of all sizes of flanges and fittings
Document temperature and pressure readings; report any irregular reading to management
Inspect all unit components and report defective parts to management
Maintain all gauges, charts and other related equipment for used testing
May be required to train
Must be receptive to and able to comprehend training received on new related processes
Must be available on 24 hr call basis to respond to customer needs
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years oilfield equipment repair and maintenance related experience
Good operational and maintenance knowledge of hydro-test units
Good written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and good driving record with proper endorsements
Mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or GED preferred
The physical ability to complete job duties & immediately respond to emergency situations
Pass required drug screening, and criminal history requirements
