One of the most powerful parts of your LinkedIn profile in terms of your personal branding is your LinkedIn summary. With all of the talk about ChatGPT and AI, you might be wondering if AI might be able to help you create or improve upon your current summary. If that is you, you might be interested in trying out one of the fifteen LinkedIn summary generators I will cover here.

Even if you don’t use LinkedIn often, you have to consider one of these tools. With these programs, you can generate incredible bios for your profile in just a few minutes. That way, you can generate much more attention and engagement from anyone who visits your page.

What is a LinkedIn Summary Generator?

Many people don’t know how to present themselves to an online crowd. Whether they can’t properly formulate career goals or showcase their skills the right way, there’s always something holding them back.

With LinkedIn summary generators, you have an opportunity to remedy the issue. With these innovative tools, you can create short content describing your life story in several sentences. Bio generators are fantastic for entrepreneurs who are at a loss of words or don’t know how to properly captivate clients and recruiters.

Why Would I Want to Use One?

As mentioned, these programs are fantastic for people who don’t know how to write captivating bios. This makes them fantastic for young entrepreneurs and graduates who don’t know how what recruiters and clients want from them. You can choose the tone for each piece, allowing you to modify your bio for a particular audience.

A well-crafted summary increases the reach and engagement of your messages. If you have a large LinkedIn following, these tools might generate a large number of impressions on the platform. By relying on them, a job seeker can search a company more efficiently.

Besides introducing a professional tone, AI-powered summary generators save you a lot of time. They generate content within seconds and use specific keywords to target connections and non-connections.

Whether you’re looking to land new clients or attract headhunters, you should use one of these generators. Although they work under a similar premise, each of these tools utilizes a completely different algorithm. In this section, I’ll explain what makes each one of them unique and whether you should give them a chance or not.

1. Mention

Mention

Mention is a nifty tool that works not only for LinkedIn, but also Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. By relying on the power of artificial intelligence, you can generate unlimited summaries for all your main social media platforms. The best thing yet is that the software is complete free; all you need to do is leave your email but without registering.

First, you need to add a short introduction. Talk about your current job title, past experience, key skills, and anything else that might be relevant to potential clients and recruiters. After that, you’ll need to introduce tone of voice. Go with casual, professional, storytelling, or creative style.

Once you input your email, the LinkedIn bio generator will do its magic. The software is fast, reliable, and generates nice writing outputs. With Mention, you can expedite your job search while focusing on specific high-ranking keywords.

2. AppyPie

AppyPie

While AppyPie is a popular app builder, I wasn’t particularly satisfied with its LinkedIn post generator. The tool doesn’t have any advanced features or built-in templates. There’s just one box where you type a short description about yourself, and AppyPie provides outputs for your social profile.

The positive thing is that you’ll get four outputs. Still, you’ll have to register using their tool to see the entire piece. The descriptions are also rather generic, especially if we compare them to outputs made by Mention and a few other programs. Overall, if you’re trying to streamline your writing process, I suggest going with another solution.

3. Simplified

Simplified

Simplified has the most advanced tool out of the software we’ve mentioned so far. The program doesn’t necessarily work as a LinkedIn bio generator. Instead, you’ll be sent to the Simplified platform, where you’ll perform the usual AI generation process.

Here, you can talk about your professional experiences, soft skills, and track record. The software will extrapolate relevant keywords from your description and use them to generate a new piece.

Simplified has a few key features I loved. First, you can choose the template type. You can go with freestyle or specific bio writing. You can also choose creativity level, number of copies, output language, and tone. As a result, you’ll get a more optimized LinkedIn post suitable for your target audience.

4. Taskade

Taskade

Like many other companies on this list, Taskade uses its LinkedIn generator to attract users to its flagship tool. When you land on the page, you’re taken to the company’s all-in-one platform, where you can generate a new bio or some other form of content.

The platform is fantastic for all content marketing tasks. It can produce a well-written summary within seconds and comes with a wide range of features to boot.

Unfortunately, if you’re a casual user, Taskade might seem a bit overwhelming. It takes a few moments for the platform to launch, and there are a few other things that slow down use. Nevertheless, Taskade is a solid option if you’re looking for some extra impressive features and want a bit more control over the generation process.

5. Scalenut

Scalenut

Scalenut has one of the best tools in this category. The program works entirely online, within your preferred browser. The page is clean, without ads or any other interruptions. As a result, you can generate a compelling story within moments and leave a lasting impression on your LinkedIn connections.

While Scalenut doesn’t have advanced features, it still does a fantastic job. Instead of using a single input, it relies on three. You’re supposed to fill in the “About You” section, as well as the Skills and Expertise sections. That way, the tool can generate incredible outputs with lots of relevant information.

In fact, I’ll go as far as to say that Scalenut is my favorite, alongside Mention.

6. Resume Worded

Resume Worded

I’m very split when it comes to Resume Worded. Although the professional summary generator doesn’t require a login and comes without a trial, its outputs are far from ideal.

Instead of leaving your own prompt, the software asks you about your professional focus. You can say that you’re a marketer, freelancer, or one of the other eight available options. After that, the software generates a company bio based on what you’ve selected.

But here’s the catch: outputs are always the same! You won’t get customized content. Instead, you’ll get a generic description where the tool mentions your nonexisting experiences and provides other inaccurate information. Overall, the program was a major disappointment.

7. Teal

Teal

Teal is one of the better tools on the list, although it takes quite some time to use it. First, the bio generator will ask you to leave an email, after which it will take you to another page. Once you provide your input, the software will take an excruciatingly long time to deliver results.

Speaking of outputs, you’re asked to explain what you’re looking for in your SEO-optimized summary. You also need to mention the target job title, expected paycheck, and ideal starting date. The software uses a nice writing style and provides solid outputs. However, the time it takes to provide these outputs might force you to close the tab in your browser.

8. WriteCream

WriteCream

WriteCream has one of the better user interfaces on this list. Similar to Scalenut and Mention, it works completely from the browser and doesn’t require registration. The headline generator provides solid, although not revolutionary outputs. My favorite thing about it is that it’s rather fast and closely follows your search terms.

The software supports more than 50 languages. There’s also a tracker on the side, which shows you the number of characters, words, and sentences. Like many other programs from this category, it allows you to tweak your tone of voice. The concise summaries are approximately 5 to 7 sentences long and can also serve as a solid basis for content repurposing.

9. Taplio

Taplio

If you’re looking for a fast generator that can produce compelling summaries, look no further than Taplio. This incredible software can pump out an AI-generated summary within seconds without losing the context or quality.

Before you start the process, Taplio will ask you a few questions. You need to explain what you do, who you’re targeting, and what you expect a person to do after seeing your bio. Users can also choose their tone of voice and whether to include emojis in their AI-powered content.

Taplio’s outputs are just superb. You get three or four paragraphs of highly targeted content. There’s also empty spaces where you can add email, phone or other personal information for better customization.

10. Text.cortex

Text.cortex

Text Cortex is another all-in-one platform that creates AI-generated content. You can use it for just about anything, including LinkedIn posts and bios.

Although the software provides fantastic outputs (it uses proprietary tech), it might not be the best solution for short LinkedIn bios. Specifically, Text Cortex forces you to leave your data and perform a few other steps. This is too much for some people who just want to copy-paste a nice career description on their profile.

11. Tella

Tella

Tella is, by far, one of my personal favorites. The thing that makes it so great is the amount of information it covers. You need to provide information regarding your past roles, past achievements, training and education, soft skills, and passion for work.

You can also choose whether to include emojis in the post. The program introduces your email to the text and uses a predetermined tone of voice. The outputs are clean, without mistakes, and the software provides them rather quickly. All in all, it is a very well-rounded and straightforward web-based program.

12. Snap Headshots

Snap Headshots

Snap Headshots is another simple, free tool on the list. Like many other entries, it comes with a blank box where you type your LinkedIn bio requirements. There’s also a drop-down menu that allows you to choose between various tones of voice.

Unfortunately, the software is a bit wonky. When I tested it, Snap Headshots couldn’t process many prompts. I tried changing my requirements, profession, and position to no avail.

13. Vondy

Vondy

Vondy is another tool that provided subpar results during my testing. The tool couldn’t process my prompts, and it gave me a blank page each time. Now, I’m not certain whether this was a temporary issue or something more permanent. Whatever the case, I suggest looking for something else.

14. Texta

Texta

Texta doesn’t actually provide a LinkedIn summarizer. Instead, when you ask the program to process your query, it will take you to the flagship platform. Here, you’ll have access to various AI formats and features that will assist you in creating diverse content.

In theory, you can also use the software for LinkedIn bios (although the tool is called “article generator”). You can leave the basic description and requirements, and Texta will process it in no time. The outputs are rather solid, and you can use them for your social profile.

15. LazyApply

LazyApply

LazyApply surprised me in more ways than once. The tool that otherwise looks simplistic has incredible functionality and produces fantastic output for your LinkedIn bio.

After selecting the tone, you have to type in your name and professional experience. After that, you can introduce other relevant information such as skills, education, industry knowledge, accomplishments, awards, and professional interests.

The software processes your inputs and starts generating a lengthy piece. The post spreads across several sections and uses the standard bio format. As you can presume, the information that you gave previously will be included in the final version.

Next Steps

The great thing about this software category is that most tools are simple and easy to use. The best ones are accessible from within the browser, and they don’t require login or your personal data.

As such, I suggest you try one or two of them to replace your current bio. The process is rather fast and will likely provide fantastic results. Even if you have a solid bio on your profile, these programs can make it that much better and more engaging.
