Moncur Associates principal David Moncur speaks at EO Accelerator event.

TROY, Michigan, Dec. 2, 2009—David Moncur, principal and founder of branding firm Moncur Associates, was chosen as an event speaker by the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). EO is a global network of over seven thousand members worldwide, focused on the entrepreneurial spirit, and the betterment and growth of entrepreneurs. Moncur presented on Monday to the EO Accelerator Detroit group, the oldest of a number of Accelerator programs throughout the world.

Moncur shared for over an hour, offering a detailed description of how to convert a prospect into a qualified potential client. He explained this business development process in the context of his branding firm's strategies for messaging, web centric marketing, search engine optimization, branding and the fine art of one-on-one communication.

Conversion boils down to understanding the prospect's pains, Moncur explained in his presentation. Pains are the day-to-day challenges prospects face with their business. "You have to speak to prospects in the context of their pains," Moncur said. "If all you talk about is your message, you'll be the only one listening."

EO Accelerator offers leadership development and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs on their way to meeting the criteria to qualify for full membership to EO, hosting a series of high-impact learning events. For the Accelerator program, EO selects representatives from its members to assist in the training, development and mentorship of these first-stage entrepreneurs.
