It’s a blend of cultures, but still quintessentially Dutch, with its friendly and open-minded residents welcoming you to such unique attractions as the Anne Frank’s house, the Van Gogh museum, and the Heineken Brewery. Better yet, though, the best way to see the city is on foot, strolling over its 1281 bridges.

Bordeaux (Le Verdon), France9 AM to 9 PMA thriving city in the heart of the French wine country, Bordeaux is filled with shops, cafes and, of course, some of the best vino in the world. Take a lesson at Bordeaux Wine School, indulge in a vinotherapie spa treatment at the Sources des Caudalie or uncork a bottle at one of 5,000 wine chateaux.

Bilbao, Spain8 AM to 6 PMBilbao welcomes you with its love of food, wine, laughter and (yes) bullfighting. Take a stroll down the new, ultra-modern Zubizuri Bridge to the cultural center of Euskalduna Palace. Venture out on a “poteo” – a small glass of wine here and there with typical “pintxos” or tapas – and experience the delicious character of the locals up close. A visit to Bilbao’s spectacular Guggenheim Museum is also a must for those with an appetite for the amazing.
