"A recent study reveals that almost half of physicians are behind where they would like to be in retirement preparedness," says Vicki Rackner MD, President of Targeting Doctors. "Yet, only about half of physicians work with a financial advisors."

The AMA Insurance Agency's 2013 Report on U.S. Physicians' Financial Preparedness shows that only 6% of physicians are ahead in their retirement planning. The factor that sets them apart is a higher financial literacy.

Obamacare, rising business costs and falling fees squeeze physicians from both ends. They want to make the most of the money they have.
