An IRA is probably the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words ."retirement planning."?and it's an account type that's critical to funding your golden years. But what you may not know is that not all IRAs are structured the same way. When you leave a traditional or Roth IRA to a beneficiary, they can do what they want with the money (subject to certain IRS rules). If you structure your IRA as a trust, however, you have more control over when and how beneficiaries receive distributions.
