At a time when even car commercials have a certain air of violence to them, many mainstream Americans are wondering, "Where are the positive, uplifting, heartwarming movies that families can enjoy together?" There are countless spiritually inspiring, motivating, and uplifting films being made, though they almost never make their way to theaters … let alone the Academy Awards.
One such film is The Secrets of the Keys, a unique film that combines a fictional story peppered with cameos from some of today's most inspiring thought leaders. The original concept has viewers not only entertained, but also empowered and inspired. The film was shot entirely on location in Southern Nevada, which brings beauty and magic to an engaging story that leaves viewers more hopeful about their lives.
Writer/Producer Robin Jay shares that the film was inspired by events that happened to her in 2001. She had received a call from her doctor who told her that the results of a CT Scan indicated that she had hilar adenopathy – a symptom that is typically brought on by any one of several other serious diseases. "I was distraught, as you would expect," she recalls. "I didn't know if I would survive. Within a few months, I was miraculously healed. I began to take drastic steps to change my life … starting with my work. I began writing my first book, all while devising an exit strategy."
Jay began to write a business book, in spite of working 50 – 60 hours per week in her career. Nearly two years later, she resigned from her 6-figure career in advertising sales to pursue writing and speaking full time. In 2006, she founded the Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau. She says, "Today, I get to work with amazing thought leaders who's books I used to read and whom I used to only see on television. Now, they are featured experts in my anthologies and, more recently, in my personal development films."
Her "Key Movies" series includes The Keeper of the Keys (available at www.GAIA.com) and The Secrets of the Keys (available on Amazon Prime: http://amzn.to/2DhmVQI) The award-winning films star such iconic personal development experts as Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, don Miguel Ruiz ("The Four Agreements), John Assaraf, John Gray ("Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"), Dannion Brinkley ("Saved by the Light"), Rev. Michael Beckwith, and other experts from around the world.
"I want people everywhere to know that uplifting, spiritual, and inspirational films are still being made," assures Jay. "You might just have to look a little harder to find them."
