Debra C. Newman, CLU, ChFC, CLTC, founder of
Newman Long Term Care, a
National LTC Network member, has been named 2012 Board of Director Chair of the LIFE Foundation. The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the essential role of life and health insurance in sound financial and retirement planning and the value added by insurance agents and other financial advisors.

The Minneapolis-based Newman has more than 30 years in the financial services industry, and is a recognized expert and frequent speaker on long term care issues. In 2007, Newman was recognized nationally as one of the top 10 on the Power List of Who's Who in Long Term Care Insurance. She also has served as past president of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors and the Minneapolis chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). In 2009, she was acknowledged by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as one of the top 25 Women in Business.
