One of the last surviving female agents who served during WWII in the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) passed away recently.
Nicola Pauline Marie Trahan parachuted into occupied France when she was only 17.
Unlike other agents, notably Phyllis Latour, who passed away last October at the age of 103, very little has been written about Trahan.
Nevertheless, she was awarded the Croix de Guerre with palm and La Médaille de la Reconnaissance française for her heroic actions.
